It 27km ².It is part of the Archipiélago Chinijo (Alegranza, Roque del Oeste, Montaña Clara and Roque del Este) and it is situated to the north of the island of Lanzarote. The whole area has been declared a Protected Natural Park.
The island of La Graciosa is a wonderful place to enjoy leisure with golden beaches and clear waters of the Atlantic with an average annual temperature of 22 º C. It´s a quiet place.
Fishing is the main activity on the island. With 500 inhabitants , the island offers health centre, pharmacy, post office, bank, police station, church, playground, supermarket (3), butchers, bakers, restaurants, bars, bike rental and diving equipment.
The Sombrerito is a family run business founded in 1990 by its owner Jose Maria Cabrera Montelongo and it is directed by him. There are 7 households,with one or two bedrooms, all of them equipped with kitchen, TV and wifi. They are all near the sea (view photo gallery of the households).
Our prices include: Sevice 24 hours and pleasant treatment. Change of towels and change of bed sheets every 5 days. Option of collection from the airport in La Graciosa as an extra service as well as to organize walks and boat trips to the beaches and around the island.
Daily flights from the mainland and from several countries. From the airport by taxi to Órzola (last village north of Lanzarote). Also a regular (not direct) bus service.
From Órzola a 20 minutesboat journey for about 7 € (for residents) and about 28 € ( nonresident ).
La Graciosa is ideal for practising sports, both water and on land: walking, sailing, mountain biking, snorkeling, fishing, trekking, kitesurfing, surfing and windsurfing.
Every year in September takes place a very popular open water swimming race with important swimmers from all over the world. It is organized by the Town Hall of La Villa de Teguise. The Triathlon of La Graciosa is also becoming a very important event.
